Hello fellow authors! Welcome to my new WordPress site.I come to you from the beautiful Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Here I live with my husband, Jere. Formerly an elementary school teacher and counselor, I am now a full-time writer, homemaker and co-owner of a small business. I love to write, especially children's mystery books. I never thought about writing mysteries as a child but knew I had a driving spirit of adventure and a fascination with the unknown. Whether it was watching horror flicks on television, reading Nancy Drew books or exploring my surroundings, the quest to solve a mystery was always there. I have two books in my new middle-grade mystery series, The Bayshore Mysteries. The Eastern Shore region of Mobile Bay, an area rich in Civil War history and small town culture, serves as a springboard for my first book, Intruders on Battleship Island. Beatrice and Monroeville, AL serve as a setting for the second book, The Secret Graveyard.This setting brings to life new mysteries, fascinating history, and secrets from the past. A third book coming soon, The Mystery of Wragg Swamp, continues the theme of mystery, suspense and adventure. With all of my books, I have drawn from years of teaching and working with kids to develop a series that incorporates historical fact, age appropriate mystery, and lessons in friendship and courage.
